Competitive Dancing

When you have completed your Social and Medal dancing and you are ready for something more glamorous and exciting, it is time to get competitive. Competitive ballroom dancing is the glamour sport. Look at the success of "Dancing with the Stars" & "So You Think You Can Dance" and the movies "Simply Ballroom" & "Take the Lead".

Dancesport enables people of all ages from 8 to 80 to compete in categories such as:
Juvenile (under 13 years) | Junior (13-16 years) | Adult (16-35 years)
Senior/Masters (over 35 years) | Professional (16 and over)

Starting with level 1, you can progress through levels 2, 3, 4 to level 5, and then to Professional at any pace you like. Dancing competitively increases your social life, develops your creativity through dance & choreography, allows you to wear exciting costumes, brings you personal recognition and can involve you in travelling interstate & overseas.

For fun and achievement, Dancesport is an exciting and rewarding hobby, which can lead to a career in dance. Whether as a part-time or full-time career, teaching dance can be rewarding for your physical health and mental satisfaction.

Teaching dance is a great way to make a living while enjoying the sport and competing at the same time. You can teach locally, nationally or internationally. There is no end to the enjoyment and self-satisfaction that you can achieve through dance as a career.
